Matan proposed sacrifice, and I think it's a good theme for Radakan. It fits nicely with the choice-and-consequence game mechanic.

Though choices would require the player character to sacrifice one thing to secure the other.
For example, often dilemmas between morality and eased survival will have to be made, thereby scarifying either to secure the other.
